Fornicating Fairies

The (Concise) Oxford English Dictionary has the following entry:
Fornicate v.intr. archaic or joc. (of people not married or not married to each other) have sexual intercourse voluntarily. [ecclesiastical Latin fornicari from Latin fornix -icis 'brothel']
So there you are. Given that fairy marriages are rare (in fact the only one that springs to mind is that of Titania and Oberon, hardly a model of domestic bliss) it follows that there must be a lot of fornication amongst fairies. Fairies are creatures of nature, and nature is not big on celibacy.
If you want the technical bit about these pictures, they are all painstakingly drawn in propelling pencil on paper, and the wings finished in gold, platinum and palladium leaf.
